Plain English. No surprises.
By signing up for an Arcline Hosting account, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't sign up. These terms are between you and Blake Ridgway, operating as Arcline Hosting ("Arcline", "we", "us").
Arcline offers shared web hosting, WordPress hosting, and VPS hosting services as described on our pricing page. Services are hosted on self-owned hardware at a residential/small business facility. We are transparent about this; it's part of why we can offer what we offer at the prices we charge.
You are responsible for everything that happens under your account. Keep your credentials secure. Don't share access with people you don't trust. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
You must provide accurate billing information. Accounts created with false information may be suspended.
Using Arcline to harm others is not allowed. The short version: don't use our services to do things that are illegal, abusive, or harmful to other customers or the network. The full detail is in our Acceptable Use Policy.
Violations of the AUP may result in immediate suspension without refund.
Services are billed monthly or annually depending on your plan selection. All prices are in USD.
We target 99% uptime on a monthly basis. This works out to roughly 7.3 hours of downtime per month. We're honest about this: our infrastructure is self-hosted and not backed by a hyperscaler.
If we fall below 99% uptime in a given month, contact us and we'll apply a service credit equivalent to the affected period. Credits do not exceed one month's service fee and are not redeemable for cash.
Scheduled maintenance, force majeure events, and outages caused by your own configuration are excluded from SLA calculations.
Support is provided via email and ticketing. We aim to respond to tickets within 24 hours on business days. There is no 24/7 live chat or phone support. If that's a hard requirement for your project, Arcline may not be the right fit. That's okay.
We perform regular backups of shared and WordPress hosting accounts. These are disaster-recovery backups, not a substitute for your own backups. We strongly encourage you to maintain independent copies of your data.
VPS customers are responsible for their own backups unless a managed backup add-on is purchased.
We will not access your files or databases except to perform maintenance, investigate abuse reports, or comply with a valid legal order.
You can cancel your account at any time from the client area or by emailing us. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period for monthly plans, or immediately for annual plans (subject to the refund policy above).
We reserve the right to modify or discontinue services with 30 days notice, or immediately in cases of abuse, legal obligation, or infrastructure emergency.
Arcline is not liable for lost revenue, lost data, or other indirect damages resulting from service downtime or data loss. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim.
We don't make this limitation to avoid responsibility. We make it because hosting services are inherently best-effort and we're being honest about that.
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be handled in the jurisdiction where Arcline operates.
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify active customers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that date constitutes acceptance.
